The Daily Maintenance of Jaw Crusher

As the first crushing process, the jaw crusher is used for the rough crushing of materials. Jaw crushers are commonly used in various production lines such as mineral processing production lines, sand production lines, and sand and gravel production lines. The rough crushing of the jaw crusher cannot be replaced by any machine. However, in the production process, the jaw crusher also has a failure rate, and the service life is greatly reduced. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out regular maintenance and maintenance of the jaw crusher.

Check before start

Three checks are required before the device starts up. Check the tension of the V-belt; check the wear state of the lining plate and the wear condition of the jaw plate bolts; check the tightening state of the jaw plate bolts and the tie rod nuts and whether the positioning of the protective rubber plate is good. In case of damage, looseness, or insufficient tension, it is necessary to replace parts in time to avoid damage to the equipment.

Boot sequence

Boot process: Start the discharge device → start the crusher → start the feeding device. The three actions correspond to the functions of discharging, crushing, and feeding respectively.

In order to ensure that the feeding material does not impact the head of the movable jaw, the feeding material needs to fall vertically into the crushing cavity. The feeding particle size needs to be within the reasonable range of the crusher and should not be too large. Excessive feeding not only damages the jaw head of the crusher, but also affects the crushing capacity of the crusher. The feeding amount needs to be between 1/3~2/3 of the silo.

In-service inspection

During the operation of the equipment, the staff needs to check whether the bearing temperature is within the normal range, and determine whether the tension rod spring is abnormal. Lubricate the equipment once a week. Check the alignment state of the toggle, toggle seat, rubber seal, and rubber shock absorber wear.


Lubrication is the key to ensuring the long-term safe and stable operation of the crusher. Check for contamination when adding grease. If there is dirt, it needs to be cleaned up in time. Install bearing temperature monitoring device. The normal temperature of the bearing should be kept at 40℃~70℃. Use the bearing temperature monitoring device to detect the temperature and find out the problems of lubrication in time.
